Upgrading to setuptools?

Is there any reason not to upgrade setup.py to use setuptools? I'm
no setuptools expert, but it would be a fairly simple switch, and
make a bunch of things happier (no need for setup.py.in, make
everything more consistent with other python packages, get on pypi...).
